The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customised using a specialized application. You can save your home's maps, create cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. You can also alter the suction power and fine-tune the amount of water and scrubbing action your mop uses.
A mapping feature helps your robot navigate rooms while an obstacle avoidance feature will stop it from hitting wires, furniture or other pet toys. These features are vital in my house, which is full of toys.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the top-of-the-line mop and vacuum cleaner, so it's a natural choice to be packed with features. It can sweep and mop in one session and even lift its mop pads and brushes to prevent soft surfaces from getting too wet. It also has the ability to see and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to recognize pets, plants and other small objects.
The robotic vacuum's maximum suction power is 6,600 pascals. This is higher than any vacuum we've test so far. It is also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation that tracks its location, preventing it from becoming stuck on objects.
Its mopping functionality is also impressive, with the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply a constant pressure of 6 Newtons to the mop pad, resulting in a deep clean. It also has an automatic mop lifting mechanism, which lifts the pad when it transitions from laminate to tile hardwood, carpets and rugs to prevent getting soaked by these soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be rinsing and drying in the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty before returning to the dock. You can set it up and forget about it. It is only necessary to replenish the water tank or replace the dust bag occasionally.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its usual mop and vac-settings for approximately 160 minutes before it began to run out of power and returned to its base to recharge. This isn't far off from the 180-minute time that Roborock claims and is at par other hybrids I've tested.
This is a highly complete and robust product, with its only downsides being the fact that it's pricey. But its abundance of features makes it a very appealing option for anyone who wants to go away from their old stick vacuum and mops. We highly recommend this vacuum when you can justify its price.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo. The price is justified by the robust features, such as a huge vacuuming capability and two mop heads that rotate. It also comes with a smart, app-enabled controller and a mighty obstacle avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 euros, which is among the highest robotic vacuum and mop combinations available. Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it requires regular maintenance. To prevent mildew or unpleasant odors, the base station dustbag, water and tanks need to be cleaned and emptied regularly. They also need to be dried. The mop pads that are sold separately will also need to be changed periodically.
With the L10S Ultra's pricey price tag and extensive functionality I would highly recommend it to anyone with the money for it. If you're on a budget, I recommend a more basic model that allows you to save money and enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. Even even if the L10S Ultra was the best robot mop and vacuum you could buy but its price and ongoing maintenance would make it more an item to have than one that you actually need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop that you need to clean up messes and remove dirt from your hard floors. This powerful mop and robovac combo packs an impressive suction power of 8,000 Pa, an impressively large battery capacity to power both mowing and vacuuming and a top-of-the-line obstacle-avoiding. It also comes with an automatic mop that cleans itself as it moves and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-cleaning to wash off the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping system that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads found in other robots. Its roller runs almost the entire length of the bot, and it is constantly supplied with ozonated, clean water from its dock. The roller scrubs the floor while collecting dirt. Any dry debris is removed using the side brushes, or swept away into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro is able to dump dirty mop water into its base station where it is sucked in by the tank's heater elements, and then emptied into a larger storage container. The tank onboard can hold a substantial amount of water and can take on up to a dozen mopping sessions before being emptied out.
The S1 Pro comes ready to use straight out of the box as do other robotic vacuums and mops. The S1 Pro will need to be filled with clean water. This can be done in the cleaning dock. You can also add cleaning solution to the dock, should you prefer the option of using your own brand of cleaner. If you decide to use this feature however, you'll have to purchase the Eufy-branded cleaning solution which is more expensive than other robot brands, allowing you to use your choice of cleaning products.
Like many robots that are available, the S1 Pro did well in accuracy in navigation and coverage tests. It was quick to map a room and it easily navigated around furniture. The only problem is that it got stuck a couple times on larger pile carpets and rugs during my testing however this can be improved when the software is upgraded. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for a reasonable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock’s entry-level mop and vacuum, but it still has some impressive features. Its multi-function dock drains the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, as well as washing and sanitizing the mop pads as it goes. The mopping system is able to be able to clean a large area prior to returning to its dock. The vacuum's powerful suction is ideal for removing pet hair and debris on carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is quite dense, and offers various options to customize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually start a full map and take care to clean everything that is mapped by the device, or you can choose particular rooms, expandable zones or even a routine you've set up.
